The congress will be held in the Europe Lecture Halls (Amphithéâtres d'Europe), hall 304 , Liège University Campus (Le Sart Tilman, building B4, car parks 11 and 14), located on one of the green hills that surround Liège (see enclosed map).
Liège is located in the french speaking part of Belgium, 100 km East of Brussels.
How to get from Brussels National Airport to Liège?We strongly recommend to use the train - Airport City Express (every twenty minutes) which travels between Brussels-National-Airport and Brussels-Midi Station with a change at Brussels-Nord Station. It takes about 15 minutes to get from Brussels National Airport to Brussels-Nord Station.

Liège is located at the crossroads of some of Europe's most important highways. Please pay attention to the fact that "Liège" may also be spelled "Luik" in Dutch or "Lüttich" in German. When driving out of the highway, follow ULG, Sart Tilman if you want to get to the conference hall or to the Hotel "Blanc Gravier", both located at the University Campus "Sart Tilman". Details are given below:
When driving from Brussels (E40), from Paris (E42) or Antwerp (E313), follow the direction Seraing when approaching Liège, take the exit 4 - Seraing and follow the national road N604. Pass then over the Meuse river, turn left (direction Ougrée) and follow the river till the national road N63 (direction Marche-Dinant-Tilff). Drive up the hill until you find the sign ULG, Sart Tilman (N680), then follow the next sign ULG, Sart Tilman and refer to the enclosed map. At the University Campus follow the direction Parking 1-29 (Conference Hall) or CHU (hotel Blanc Gravier).
Exit the highway at Liège exit. You will cross the city of Liège following the direction of Marche or Dinant and you will reach the national road N680 which will get you to the University Campus Sart Tilman, then refer to the enclosed map.
If you want to get to hotels situated in the center of the town, follow the direction Avroy, or Guillemins Station, then refer to the enclosed maps.
The bus network covers the whole city. All buses are operated by a driver and you are requested to get in from the front door and get off from the rear door. You may request to stop at the next bus stop by pushing the yellow button at the window pillar. When getting in, you have to pay to the bus driver the fees for the ticket (40 belgian francs).

Collective transport from down-town
There will be a free shuttle bus collecting the participants, once a day, from the hotels located down-town (from monday to thursday).

The average temperature in June is 17± 3ºC. Rain showers are frequent.
The International Workshop on the Next Generation Space Telescope: Science Drivers and Technological Challenges (34th Liège International Astrophysics Colloquium) will begin on Monday June 15 at 9:30.
The meeting will take place on the Sart Tilman campus of the Liège University, Amphithéâtres d'Europe (about 6 km from Liège city centre, shuttle buses will be organized). NGST signs will be posted on the campus (see Location).
A welcome drink will be offered on the conference site on Sunday June 14, from 16:00 to 20:00 in the Main Hall of Amphithéâtres d'Europe. The site is located on the Liège University Campus at Sart Tilman (see Location and Hotels to Conference site). No collective transport will be available on this day. Please, be aware that buses to Sart Tilman are every 40 minutes on week-ends. The participants will also receive the final conference program and other relevant documents, badge, meal tickets, etc...
E-mail access will be provided. Details will be given later.
The conference room will be equiped with two overheads, a slide projector and a portable microphone. A video monitor will be available for oral presentations. Those who want to use it are requested to notify the Local Organizing Committee when submitting the abstracts. Videos recorded on normal-sized VHS cassettes in NTSC mode can be displayed. The projector can also be driven from a computer (e.g. your personal laptop; restriction 220V-50Hz).
A room for poster presentations will be reserved. The poster board for a paper will be 120 cm x 130 cm.
A registration desk will be open from Sunday afternoon, June 14 through Thursday afternoon, June 18.
The Liège University Campus hosts a restaurant. Lunches are included in the registration fees.
All receptions are free of charge for registered participants as well as for the accompanying persons.
Sunday, June 14 - A welcome drink will be offered on the conference site from 16.00 - 20.00 pm in the Main Hall of Amphithéâtres d'Europe, (see Location and Hotels to Conference site).
Monday, June 15 - Cocktail offered by CSL /AMOS/ Spacebel Informatique from 18.00 - 19.30 pm in the Main Hall of Amphithéâtres d'Europe, (see Location).
Tuesday, June 16 - Reception at the Town Hall at 18 pm offered by HiServ, (refer to the location on the map).
A limited number of special tickets "René Magritte + train = 630 BEF" will be available on 17th of June for accompanying persons. Please, contact as soon as possible the Local Organizing Committee, if you are interested in attending this exhibition.
